Today I am one VERY happy woman. My dad's desk has, finally, after 4 long months, arrived at my home!!
It is SO BEAUTIFUL and embodies so much.
... there is a slight problem in that it does not fit in the place that we were going to put it, and the original plan of getting a carpenter to shave the sides so that we could just slide it in, is a no go. It would take more than just a shaving to fit it in and now that it is here, actually I wouldn't have been able to mutilate it anyway.
But it doesn't matter, I don't care, I will find a place for it.
I know how much this piece of furniture means to you and I am so so pleased it has arrived....although why you didn't tell me when we spoke this morning I don't know...eish, never mind you just enjoy enjoy and I have no doubt you will find the perfect place in your home for this treasure xxxxxxx
