So as mentioned in my previous post, Steve recently won an awesome holiday to India. There was a television program on before Christmas called An Idiot Abroad, which was running a caption competition on stills from the footage. Steve entered a caption from the visit to Peru and he won the main prize, as chosen by the idiot in question, Karl Pilkington. It is a wonderful trip that has to be taken before the end of the year, which should in theory mean that we would be able to organise a rota of child care through friends and family. However not all seasons are good for visiting India and monsoons and heat mean that it is really only September to March that we could go. We were hoping that Jen and Dan could step in, and together with Grandma and Grandad, they would be able to cover the 2 weeks. Unfortunately they have pesky university to attend, and it looks rather impossible to sort out!! So I am sadly resigned to the fact that I shall probably not be able to go, while at the same time not quite giving up hope that a miracle may occur ;-)
